Lerna mount is designed for end-users and provides a 2.91-inch optic centerline for quicker target identification, even with gear or equipment obstructions such as ear protection, communication headsets, gas masks/CBRN, and night vision systems. A higher optic position allows for a more athletic stance and a heads-up posture, helping users keep a vertical spine, which is beneficial for wearing body armor or presenting plates to a threat. This heads-up approach enables faster response times and better situational awareness.
