This Volt SS doesnt have a Composite Blade, but what it does have is pure stainless steel, all the way down. The blade is high-quality 8CR13MoV stainless steel, heat treated to Kershaw specifications to bring out the very best in the steelstrength, hardness, and the ability to take and hold a wicked edge. The Volt SS blade shape is a versatile clip point. With its narrow, clipped tip, it provides extra cutting control for delicate tasks. At the same time, the blade has enough belly to make it a good slicer, too. The handle is pure stainless steel with a sturdy frame lock. Its slimmer than previous Volts, which makes it sit comfortably in your pocket. The pocketclip is reversible for either tip-up or tip-down carry. The Volt SS is equipped with SpeedSafe assisted opening, just pull back on the ambidextrous flipper and the blade moves out of the handle, quickly and easily.
